Bubbles 3 works because every shot is a small puzzle. You see the color loaded in the launcher, you scan the field above for where that color can do the most damage, and you fire. Match three or more and they pop; miss and the field keeps sinking.
What separates a good run from a lucky one is the chain reaction. Bubbles in this game hang in clusters, and a cluster stays up only as long as something is holding it. Pop the support bubbles and an entire section drops, clearing a huge area with a single well-placed shot.
The wall bounce is the skill that opens the whole game up. A straight shot can only reach the front of the field, but a shot banked off the side wall can curl behind and reach bubbles tucked at the back. Once you read the angles, the field stops being a wall and becomes a puzzle you can solve from the sides.
If you like arcade games that are easy to pick up but reward every improvement in aim, Bubbles 3 stays compelling because there is always a better shot on the board — and finding it is the whole game.
